I was invited to participate in the 23rd edition of the artistic residency in Szentgotthard - Hungary

The invitation was through the mayor of the city who has held this residency 23 years ago, seeking to connect with neighboring countries, trying to continue creating bridges after so many years of conflict. 12 artists from croatia, italy and yugoslavia painting together in the same studio. The mayor comes to me through his son, who sees me painting a mural in Mexico and recommends me, being the first time that an American artist would be invited.

Lots of Alcohol, Folklore and fun in these 17 days where we painted, ate their typical food and discussed artistic issues and idioologies.

Happy to leave 4 works that will be exhibited in November.

Fui convocado a participar de la 23va edicion de la residencia artistica de Szentgotthard - Hungria

la invitacion fue a traves del alcalde de la ciudad que realiza esta residencia hace 23 años buscando conectar con paises limitroges intentando seguir creando puentes despues de tantos años de conflicto. 12 artistas de croacia, italia y yugoslavia pintando juntos en un mismo estudio. El alcalde llega a mi a traves de su hijo, quien me ve pintando un mural en mexico y me recomienda, siendo la primera vez que un artista americando sería invitado.

Mucho Alcohol, Folklore y distrute en estos 17 dias donde pintamos, comimos sus comidas tipicas y debatimos sobre cuestiones artisticas e idiologias.
